Gunther Schmitz is a qualified mechanical engineer who started his degree at Stellenbosch University and graduated in Germany. He has spent thirteen years working in the German motor industry, most significantly as the head of the Product and Service Quality Unit at DEKRA Consulting, a subsidiary of the German-based technology, safety and environmental firm DEKRA AG. In this role, he spent seven years consulting major manufacturers such as BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Nissan and Kia. His primary areas of focus were testing and improving the quality of their repairs, car services and systems..
Louis is a highly qualified member of the team with over 25 years of transport industry experience in positions such as Operations Manager, Network Manager and General Manager in the Freight and Cargo industry to other areas such as extensive experience as Branch Manager in the Retail Motor Industry. Louis has consistently advanced himself and his Diploma in Transport (including a Certificate in Transport plus an Advanced Certificate in Transport) from the Rand Afrikaans University (RAU). This is complimented by training in Fleet Management, Industrial Relations, Workshop Planning and Ethics and Human Relations (Shell South Africa).
Charl joins the autoWORKS team with 15 years experience. Prior to working for autoWORKS Charl worked for Mercedes Benz Canal Walk as Foreman and Service Advisor. Charls grew up in his father’s workshop in the winelands. He was trained extensively by Mercedes-Benz on diagnostics, repairs as well as customer and workshop management. Charl was trained on Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Honda and Smart vehicles.
Kevin is responsible for the daily workshop operation and quality control, with an abundance of experience to fulfil this task to the highest standard. Kevin was team leader at a Mercedes Benz dealership and apart from being a qualified petrol technician, has undergone extensive training with Daimler Chrysler and Land Rover. He has eleven years of experience in the motor trade and brings with him his A-game to our car service center.
